Sire of Escalade

Escapade, 2001 Hanoverian colt was imported from Germany in April of 2002 to be raised as a stallion prospect at Cocolalla Creek Sport Horses. His sire is Escudo I and his dam Gesa is a daughter of Graf Grannus.

We found Escapade at the farm of Ludwig Decker in Germany. The famous Hanoverian sire Grannus - one of Escapades ancestors, was born on the very same farm.

We selected Escapade because of his flawless conformation and outstanding movement. I did not know when I first saw him that he had a jumper pedigree. This colt is very elastic and powerful in his movement. he should cross especially well on the daughters of Winnetou and Wolkenzauber.

Escudo I
Sire of Escapade

Escudo I is a black 16H 1 1/2", well-muscled, expressive stallion of ideal type. He was Champion of the 1994 Stallion Performance Test with excellent scores in all categories. He won the jumping section, and went on to become Hanoverian Showjumping Champion 5 year old in 1996, and German National Reserve Champion 5 year old Jumper.

A son of Hanoverian Stallion of the Year 1995, Espri, who has produced many grand prix showjumpers including World Cup winner, E.T., and St. Pr. St. Athene, a mare who scored extremely well on her Mare Performance Test, and who has also produced the showjumper, Erik 18, Escudo I is a full brother to Escudo II, Champion of the 1994 Stallion Licensing. Escudo I's mares have scored exceptionally well in the Mare Inspections and Mare Performance Tests, giving Escudo I outstanding breeding values for all categories, especially type, conformation and jumping. Almost half the mares inspected became States Premium Mares. (Hannoveraner Jahrbuch Hengste 2000).

Escudo I is designated as part of the Hanoverian Jumping Horse Breeding Program.

Graf Grannus
Grand Sire of Escapade

Graf Grannus is a beautiful black 16H 1 1/2" stallion from the very best Hanoverian jumping lines, notably Grannus and Gotthard. His offspring are sought after for this phenomenal jumping talent, as well as for excellent character, very good movements and an exceptional willingness to work. Graf Grannus ranked third at the 1991 Stallion Performance Test. He has produced many stallion sons, including Goodman and Graf Top.
