 Tonto is a 2010 gelding of unknown parentage, but his Spanish type movement and
uphill built combined with his unusual coloring suggest he is at least part Kiger.
He presently stands 15.1 hands but is a young 3 year old and has a lot of
growing left in him. He will reach at least 15.3, but more likely end up over
16 hands.
Tonto well started under saddle, has a fantastic CAN DO attitude and truly
loves his job whatever you tell him it might be.
He definitely shows talent for upper level Dressage, he can really sit and
lift. Very athletic horse who has never set a foot wrong in his training, most
loyal and committed to being a good guy, he will put a smile on YOUR face when
you ride him.
Tonto has attended his first USDF show under saddle, he was a very good boy! Great remarks from Jane Ayers on how correctly he was started and that he seems to love doing his job! Score of 70% made me happy! He was also officially recorded and microchipped with RPSI at the inspection, Otto Schalter just loved "the friendly mustang" and said he really wants to see him jump in a couple of years! So Tonto can compete for RPSI all breed awards now!
We recently introduced Tonto to jumping under saddle and he took to it like a fish to water, he is confident, naturally rates his stride and finds the right distance. We surely didn't have to beat him over any of the fences, he totally digs it! New video below of his VERY first attempts!
